ERC Overview

The FCT Education Resource Centre began as the Education Service section of the Federal Capital Development Authority in 1982, when the Education Department required representation on the West African Examinations Council. The Centre developed into an academic service provider supporting schools across the Federal Capital Territory.

Its service areas include curriculum development and implementation, examinations, admission and placement, learning-resource and library support, instructional materials, teacher professional development and education research. Its mandate also supports stronger teaching and learning of languages, sciences and mathematics.
