Role within FCT ERC

CSED promotes community learning, self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods through vocational training, enterprise development, digital skills, learning support and access to ERC facilities. Its programmes serve both in-school and out-of-school learners and are designed to improve social and economic participation.

The original ERC service areas are broken into clearer operational blocks for easier reading on desktop, tablet and mobile.

Branch / unit

Entrepreneurship

Runs year-round vocational and enterprise programmes.

  • Skills areas include catering, cookery, pastry, bread making, garment making, cosmetics, home economics and decoration.
  • Business ventures include fish, snail and poultry farming, animal husbandry, table-water production, music activities and product exhibitions.
Branch / unit

Computer / Internet Training

Provides practical digital-literacy training.

  • Computer fundamentals and file management.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Introductory Python and SQL.
  • Networking, cybersecurity, cloud concepts and project work.

Programme and Event Leasing Facilities

Makes ERC facilities available for educational, social and corporate programmes, including the multipurpose hall, committee rooms, playground/tennis court, computer room and science laboratories.

  • Primary, junior secondary, senior secondary and adult-learning classes.
